No Binding. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. This is a LP/multiple, a 33 1/3 speed record in a clear vinyl plastic container designed by Robert Rauschenberg (Oct 1925 - May 2008), there is no shrink wrap or circular Seal; it is with 3 inserted different Rauschenberg's colored illustrated sheets; each is a thin plastic sheet in Yellow, Blue & Red; edition size is unknown and it is not signed; the numbering is engraved on the frosted vinyl LP; published by Sire Records # 1-23771; the 3 rotating soft plastic disks that are affixed (but removable) on the inside of the front cover, sheets size: 12in; the thick plastic holder size: 13in. sq with rounded edges; all music written by David Byrne and performed by the Talking Heads, TRACKS: Burning Down The House, Making Flippy-Floppy, Girlfriend Is Better, Slippery People, I Get Wild/Wild Gravity, Swamp, Moon Rocks, Pull Up The Roots, and This Must Be The Place (Naive Melody); OF INTEREST: Rauschenberg did several other similar multiples to this concept to be viewed with sheets separated and with a light behind them; similarly these 3 sheets and LP could be separated with more space between them enabling them to rotate and a light could also be put behind them if you wish. PLEASE NOTE: 1) these multiples sheets & LP do not come with a stand. 2) we have had a number of these copies and we have found from opening up one of them that the manufacturer put tiny round adhesive plastic glue between the 3 sheets to keep them from moving with the clear plastic holder; when 3 sheets are rotated it interacts with the record and the other printed designs; IF THE BUYER WANTS, they can carefully remove these tiny round pieces of the adhesive rubber glue so they can be separated and move within the plastic holder. CONDITION: there is some normal yellowing to the plastic clam holder and a few tiny cracks around the edges, otherwise in GOOD COND.
