Synopsis
During the 1960s, a bushel of B-movies were produced and aimed at the predominantly teenage drive-in movie audience. At first teens couldn't get enough of the bikini-clad beauties dancing on the beach or being wooed by Elvis, but by 1966 the teen audiences were more interested in the mini-skirted, go-go boot wearing, independent-minded girls of action, spy, fantasy and science fiction movies. Profiled here are fifty of the sexy, young actresses every teenage girl envied and every teenage boy desired. Among those included are Quinn O'Hara, Donna Loren, Meredith MacRae, Gail Gilmore, Sue Ane Langdon, Juliet Prowse, Cynthia Pepper, Marlyn Mason, Carole Wells, Lori Williams, Beverly Washburn, Brenda Benet, Hilarie Thompson, Regina Carrol, Arlene Martel, Melody Patterson, Andrea Dromm, Sharyn Hillyer, Diane Bond, and Wende Wagner. Each bio includes a filmography that lists the actresses' more notable films. Some of the profiles include the actresses' candid comments and anecdotes about their films, the people they worked with, and their feelings about acting. A list of websites that provide further information is also included.
