Synopsis
Many years have passed since Goldilocks caused chaos at the Bears' house in the woods, but what happens when Little Bear as was wanders out of his fairytale and into the big city where Goldilocks now lives? Awarding-winning artist and animator Leigh Hodgkinson is the creator of this funny and clever fractured fairytale based on the familiar story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. Goldilocks is now grown up with a family and a rather smart apartment, so how will she react to coming home and finding that a very lost bear has been scoffing porridge, breaking chairs and sleeping in beds? Will she be cross, or is finally time to make amends?

Review
Hodgkinson's mixed-media artwork is the real star. The retro illustrations are done in bold blues, lime greens and pinks and are full of patterns and wonderfully scratchy and marbled textures. The blond family's clothing, hairdos and attitudes neatly match their penthouse home, and the text plays into the artwork.

About the Author
Leigh Hodgkinson (Author, Illustrator) Leigh is an award-winning animator and worked as art director on the BAFTA-award winning animated series, Charlie and Lola. She is also an award-winning children's book author and illustrator, who is absolutely passionate about writing, making things up and daydreaming. Among her many brilliant picture books is Don't Dip Your Chips in Your Drink, Kate, written by Caryl Hart, which won Highly Commended in the 2010 Sheffield Children's Book Award, Picture Book Category. Leigh lives and works in Lewes and is married with two children.
