This book describes the work of Franck Gobbio and his team of underwater archaeologists, showing how their discoveries are combined with other sources to piece together pictures of past societies. The book covers two underwater projects: ancient Egyptian treasures lost from Alexandria around 30 BCE; and the wreck of the Spanish galleon San Diego, sunk in a bay outside Manila in 1600, after a battle with a Dutch ship.
