Luis de Granada (1504-1588). Espana. Fray Luis de Granada ingreso en la orden dominica a los veinte anos. Y pronto adopto el nombre de su ciudad natal y alli estuvo durante varios anos en el convento de Santa Cruz. Tambien fue prior del convento de Scala-Coeli en la serrania de Cordoba. Hacia 1547 escribio su Guia de pecadores, en la que fray Luis recoge un tratado escrito por Savonarola, y una antologia de fragmentos del Nuevo Testamento, que comprende el Sermon del Monte, tres capitulos del evangelio de Juan y una parafrasis de las cartas de Pablo. Sus ultimos anos fueron duros, marcados por el escandalo del suceso de la monja de Portugal, en el que defendio a una monja iluminada, que despues se descubrio que habia mentido. Murio a los ochenta y cuatro anos en Portugal.
