Another installment in a highly successful series (14 novels altogether) about two boys who visit exotic places in search of animals for zoos. Canadian-born Price wrote travelogues before beginning this series for juvenile readers (with "Amazon Adventure" in 1949). The stories are not great literature and the reader must often suspend disbelief, but many much-loved children's books share these characteristics, and the style here is straightforward, with the books full of factual information on natural history, good characters and action. Cover illustration by Derek Lucas for these attractive Knight editions from the mid-1970s.
