Condition: Good. 1946. First Edition. 160 pages. No dust jacket. Red cloth. Black and white illustrations throughout. Light foxing and tanning to pages. More prominent to text block edges, pastedowns and free endpapers. Binding is slightly loose but pages remain attached. Boards have minor corner bumping and edgewear with mild staining, tanning and scuffing overall. Spine has light tanning with soft crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. 184 very clean unmarked pages with illustrations throughout. Original red cloth with black lettering on the spine, boards are firm just a bit rubbed, rear inner cover is cracked in the centre. Overall a well preserved copy. Usual toning and shelf wear should be expected.

A bookseller's (Strand News Agency) neat stamp to the bottom left hand corner of the front free end-paper otherwise a lovelty, bright and clean VG+ copy in like D/W priced 6/- net to the inside flap (as called for). The D/W has shallow 4 mm loss at the head of the spine just marginally affecting the lettering and 2 tears approx 2.5 - 3cm each in length at the top of spine and is is rubbed to the extremities.
