20 approx. 5.5 X 4" art reproductions ".Printed by the beautiful Mezzogravure process" with plate marks in the margins. Housed in a box which opens like a book, ie, not bound. The sides of the box have disintedgrated and the "covers" are scuffed and heavily worn around the edges. The art miniatures, small reproductions of famous paintings to be found in the Tate Gallery, are very nice. Also laid in is a six- page advertising pamphlet for other numbers in the Burlington series.

Hardcover. Condition: Good. First And Only. An all original Art Nouveau album 30 x 22 cms landscape format. The album has spaces for 202 miniature mezzogravure process reproductions, each mounted from their corners and each pair tissue guarded (see images). There is one mezzogravure missing, giving a total of 201 images. Loosely inserted are seventeen small single sheet contemporary flyers (see images 4 & 5), each folded once. 10 x 14 cms, each flyer describiing in detail typically ten of the art work images. The flyers run consecutively from No. 1 to No. 20 (so, 200 plus descriptions), but are lacking numbers: 7, 12, & 15. Not dated, but 1908 - 1909 from Public Holdings. A lovely collection. [N.B., Sir Lionel Henry Cust KCVO FSA was a British art historian, courtier and museum director. He was director of the National Portrait Gallery from 1895 to 1909 when this item was published, and co-edited The Burlington Magazine from 1909 to 1919].

Cloth Boards. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Unusual scare set in photo album formation. Boards have very little wear, and are clean and tidy.
