Some label residue and a price in ink to the front free endpaper along with another number at the top. Page edges a little browned with some spotting but the pages are generally otherwise unmarked. The jacket has a two inch stain to the bottom corner of the rear panel and a 'Mystery' label stuck to the spine. Jacket design by Beverly Lebarrow. First printing of this edition.

Original Cloth. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. The boards have rubbing and light fraying to the top and bottom of the spine and along the edge next to the rear panel. There is also rubbing along the edges of the front and rear panels with some loss of colouring along the bottom edges. The binding is a little slack at the front of the book with a gap showing at the title page. Page edges browned with scattered light spotting. Quite heavy brown spotting at the front and rear of the book with scattered spots and stains throughout the book - most of the pages are affected to some degree. The pages are otherwise unmarked however. No jacket. First printing.
