The boards are a little shelf rubbed and minor marks. There is foxing around the block and on the first and last pages, little within the body of the book. The text is legible. Hardcover. Condition: Good. xiv, 305pp, bound in blue cloth, gilt still bright, binding and hinges tight, all illustrations present, with the folding map in back [no tears]. Covers sunned, bumped edges/corners/spine, interior shows a small bookstore label for Foyles in London, occasional foxing, mostly on the fore-edge. From the personal collection of Dr. Brooks Ryder (1918-1995), graduate of Harvard College, Harvard School of Public Health, and Tufts Medical School. Known for his Public Health expertise overseas, throughout East Africa and Indonesia.

Sampson Low, Marston & Co, 1936, 1st Edition. 8vo, pp xiv + 305 complete with 31 black & white plates and near fine folding map to rear of book. Hardcover no dust jacket. Original black cloth binding with gilt lettering to spine in good condition with sunning and staining to spine and little old (possibly water) damage to boards on right hand bottom corner. Inside all pages in very good condition with the odd spot of foxing. A very good copy of this scarce book.
