Seller: Benson's Books, Sidmouth, DEVON, United Kingdom
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. The boards are moderately to heavily worn, with abraded cloth on the scuffed edges and corners. The spine head and tail are crushed and lightly ripped. There is evidence of water damage, particularly on the back board with some lifting of the cloth and colour loss. The water damage has stained the rear paste-down, end papers, and lightly the margins of the 50 odd endmost pages (more so the index). The remaining pages are very clean and undamaged, with faint age toning. In general the binding is firm and the leaves secure if not tight, but a group of 8 leaves (pp 65-80, moths) is partially loose. Three leaves (pp 9-14, butterflies) have small tears (to 2cm) to the bottom edge. Overall this book is in fair to good condition, with the majority of pages firm, undamaged and very clean. Measures 25.5 x 18.0 x 5.0cm. Butterflies 176 pages, moths 486 pages.
