Blue cloth boards; gilt titles and motifs on front and spine. 8 black and white photographic plates, including frontispiece; 6 folding charts in rear pocket (all present). Boards heavily stained; edgeworn; corners bumped; ends of spine crushed. Endpapers toned; previous owner's name on front free endpaper; small bookseller's sticker on rear pastedown. A few spots on preliminary pages; otherwise almost entirely clean. Charts intact. Front hinge tender; gutters starting to crack in places.

Hard Cover. Condition: Near Fine. Rebound in blue buckram with gilt lettering on spine. Other then lacking the charts and being rebound the book is in NEAR FINE conditon with foxing spots scattered throughout, previous owner bookplate on front paste down and name written on front free endpaper.

Cloth Over Boards. Condition: Good. No Jacket. Various (illustrator). This large book has been bound in a medium green with a title label on the spine. There is some corner bumping and edge wear. The cloth has small tears at the head and foot of the spine. Back hinge has seperated. The rest of the binding is solid. Size: 4to - over 9¾" - 12" tall.

Light foxing (endpapers, outside edges and text) but not on plates. One page with a small crease at corner (dog-ear), o/wise a very good clean copy. 24 x 16.5.
