Condition: Very good condition. Original color theater program broadsheet (for the play by Caraguel, 'Smoke and then Flame'), signed in the print at the lower left. Dramatically colored in black, yellow and orange, and depicting a blond woman embracing a swirling tower of flames. The Theatre Libre was a Parisian theater company which operated from 1887 to 1896, offering new and daring plays which were not produced in the commercial theaters, and founded by Andre Antoine. Its posters and playbills were made by the leading artist of the day, including Edouard Vuillard, Paul Signac, Adolphe Willette, and Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec. Color lithograph, 9 1/2 x 12". Period fold flattened.
