Augustus Montague Summers was a mysterious figure, a classicist and notional clergyman who found fame in documenting witchcraft and the occult in a somewhat scandalous and controversial fashion. With b/w illustrations. Sunning to spine. Bumping to edges. Mild foxing to page edges. Contents clean and sound. Good.

One of the first and most important serious studies of vampire lore (reportedly the Reverend Summers was a believer), published after Bela Lugosi starred in the play version of *Dracula* on Broadway, and before he reprised his role for the classic film. A nice copy.
