Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. Dust Jacket Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. This is a UK paperback original first printing of this title published by Sphere in 1974 by Bantam Books. Essentially this is the US paperback original, but with 40p imprinted by the publisher on the top front corner of the cover. This is absent from the US edition (obviously). The book is in Near Fine condition with light rubbing to the extremities, straight spine, sharp corners and firm spine ends. There is light foxing periodically throughout the book but nothing that detracts from its appeal. The black and white Westworld photos are intact and complete in the middle of the book as you'd expect. The copyright page confirms the first publication in March 1974 and printed in the USA.

Condition: Very Good. Lot of 10 vintage production stills from G. Troussier's Cinemagence collection in Paris (1964-1994). Lobby cards measure 9 1/4 x 11 1/2 inches. Most have pin holes in the corners; slight creasing; faint musty smell. Overall very good. These photos are from Michael Crichton's screenwriting and directorial debut film, "Westworld" (1973). The film starred Yul Brynner as the Gunslinger, after his own character from thirteen years earlier: Chris Adams, the ringleader of "The Magnificent Seven" (1960). "Westworld" is historic for pioneering the first CGI in feature films: inspired by NASA's 1965 computerized images of Mars, Crichton and John Whitney Jr. , his cinematographer, worked with programmers in a ground-breaking experiment converting film footage, frame by frame, into numerical information, which was then reproduced as the Gunslinger's robot vision. These lobby cards are a special rarity, and were displayed in special glass boxes outside theaters.
