Part 1, The potlatch (reconstruction of a typical potlatch); part 2, Recollections of an Indian agent. Interesting large newspaper clipping from 1972 laid-in describes 'The Crime of Indian-Giving - Kwakiutl fight for return of seized potlatch riches'. Heavy fading to backstrip but lettering still clearly legible. Lower right quadrant of front board faded. Short openings to top of backstrip. Somewhat above-average external wear. Binding intact. Minor foxing to endpapers. Contents lightly tanned. A worthy reference copy of this informative work.
