About this Item
Approx 6x3.5". Brown textured paper wrappers with embossed gilt and black lettering on the front cover. This is a small illustrated promotional brochure for the Sportex line of sportswear fabrics from the Dormeuil company. This line of sporting wear, which was invented by Pierre Dormeuil in 1927, immediately became popular with outdoorsmen and sportsmen (especially golfers) for its increased durability and flexibility, while still maintaining warmth. The brochure features a 5-piece fold-out design, illustrating 11 different configurations in a mix-and-match style, displaying combinations of various sport-jackets and pants. The figures are depicting engaging in a number of outdoor activities including bird-watching, hunting and fishing. Text in English, with additional flaps including informational text in French, German and Spanish as well. The front cover contains the printed words "J. Meyer Lübeck". Wrappers with some light rubbing to extremities. Wrappers and interior in very good+ condition overall. Extremely scarce. Seller Inventory # 44770
