4 page fold out history of the Stage Golfing Society. Sir Laurence Olivier was a member of the Society in the 1950s and was the president when this was published in 1953. The Stage Golfing Society is for members of the entertainment industry and was founded in 1903. During its early years the society played its matches at the Ashford Manor Golf Club, Moor Park and Wimbledon Park. In 1949 they began playing at the Richmond Golf Club, a tradition that continues to the current day. They have had some notable dinner speakers over the years including the Duke of Windsor, Bernard Darwin, prime minister Anthony Eden and Douglas Fairbanks. We specialize in golf books.
